Our building—the former Ingalls UMC—has a long tradition in the community. The church itself was formed in 1893 while the building and the grounds were not established until 28 years later in 1921. This beautiful church is located at 301 N. Alfonte St. Ingalls, IN just north of Ind. 67.
We hope you will join us in the following activities:
Every Sunday morning at 10:30am. Worship in a casual yet quaint atmosphere. Worship services include: traditional Hymns and contemporary Christian Music with an emphasis on congregational singing. Local musicians provide instrumental support for the services. Special musical guests are featured from time to time. Preaching is biblically based, culturally relevant, and doctrinally sound. Come as you are. Leave renewed in faith.
Bible Study and Sunday School
Immediately following Sunday Morning Worship Services enjoy a time of Bible Study, refreshment, and Christian fellowship. Adults meet at the back of the Church. Cindy Reddington, our Youth & Children’s Minister, leads our Sunday school for children in another room - at the opposite end of the sanctuary.
South Madison Food Pantry
First United Methodist Church Ministries maintains a food pantry at the Ingalls Campus every Saturday between 10:00am and 12:00 noon. We have meat, canned goods, paper products, toiletries, fresh vegetables, and fruits in season - as well as bakery products available each week.
South Madison Food Pantry is a joint community outreach hosted by FUMC Ministries and Green Township Trustee Office. Eligible patrons must live in South Madison Community Schools District.
