Steve Austin

Pastor Austin grew up in Wells County, Indiana where he graduated from Norwell High School in 1983. After getting married
to his church youth group girlfriend, Sherry, in 1984, Pastor Austin enrolled in Indiana Purdue at Fort Wayne where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1991.
Upon graduation he enrolled in United Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Divinity degree 1995 with the indispensable help of his wife. Pastor Austin was ordained to the Order of Elder in 1997 and has served in communities throughout Northern Indiana such as Roll, Keystone, Markleville, Muncie, Burket, and most recently in Warsaw as the host pastor of the Connection Campus for First United Methodist Church. Pastor Steve and Sherry have two sons, Wes and A.J., who attend Purdue University. Pastor Austin began as Lead Pastor for Pendleton First United Methodist on January 1st, 2008 and envisions a long term ministry leading the congregations in the new ministry of multi-site ministry. |
