Caring Through Service

“We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  Ephesians 2:10 NIV

This verse in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians immediately follows verses 8 and 9 which tell us that:  it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

God has work for us to do.  He invites us to join Him as “co laborers” in mission and ministry to the world.  We respond with joy and in grateful appreciation for all that God has done for us in Christ Jesus, by joining him in his work.

God has uniquely gifted every believer with; different spiritual gifts, natural abilities, and talents to be used in his service.  The greatest use of our lives is to fulfill the purposes for which God created us.
